Would this be a dealbreaker?

I got to thinking today about how Hillary is having dinner with Chinese diplomats tonight. If you are a picky eater, would that exclude you from being able to be Secretary of State?
I know that seems silly, but it could majorly offend governments if you won't eat what they serve you for dinner.

That is funny! Would there also be a taste test just to make sure they can eat anything?
I'm teaching my kids to eat anything. You never know what the future holds!

I would think they would give the chef a list beforehand of what you will eat and what you won't. And then if you are a really picky eater you just don't do State Dinners or things of that nature. But maybe I am over analyzing it. You could always do what Jerry did with the Mutton! (Seinfeld reference)

I think Ang is right on this one. i remember reading somewhere, though I can't remember where exactly, that there is quite a bit of negotiation regarding the menu, as no one hosting wants to offend, either...crazy, but somebody has to think of those things, I guess...

I traveled the world with my Father on business trips. We ate with diplomats, business men, politicians, etc...in Japan, China, Malaysian, Philippines, Singapore, etc... and I'll tell you what my father said, "You will eat it, you will like it, you will smile, and you will say thank you. Period. No discussion. My advice? Don't look just swallow.
