Who are the ones that raise the national debt?

I love how Democrats have a reputation for "tax and spend".
But under which presidents have we accumulated a large debt.

Ronald Reagan... and then Bill Clinton cleaned that up.
.. and now George W Bush.

It makes me angry.. because "supposedly" the Republicans are the ones that are going to "save the day" in that regard.

Karin,

Why are you still lurking? Are you a secret liberal and just don't know it?

Sorry Monkey Girl I was hoping to run into you so I could get some bananas--ran out and I wanna make "the one" some banana bread to welcome him into the White House :)

Now care to answer the question I posed---who has run Congress the past few years, need a hint, it was not the Republicans

Yea, you're right. I'm sure Bush using his "executive order" didn't have anything to do with it....or the war he insisted on starting....or the billions of tax breaks he and the republicans gave to the oil companies and big businesses. You're right, I'm sure it was all the democrats fault. :) I'd like a extra piece of banana bread, since you're making some and all. Thanks. Keep making the banana bread honey, as Bush and his friends keep spending our money.

Karin - You are almost sounding like you're a little obsessed with "the one".
