Wow, wake up people... this is the GOP

I was just watching the Ed Schultz show.
I caught the end as I was getting ready for dinner.

Ed Schultz says "I don't see anything getting done on healthcare this year."

and Congressman Tom Tancredo (R-CO) says , "Thank goodness, thank goodness" all giddy like kid.

I certainly hope Americans watching that were as outraged as I am. My jaw must have dropped to the floor. You have 41 million Americans with NO heathcare and are sick without treatment, skyrocketing costs for businesses and people that do have expensive healthcare.... and all this guy can say is "Thank Goodness?"

I have no words for this.

It's a sad state of affairs when certain individuals blatantly defy their responsibility as a public servant on national tv, yet the public sees fit to allow those people to keep serving them.
It would be great to let them have keep what they deserve, but why do their representative have to interfere with decisions for the rest of "thinking" America?

Oh that is such BS!!! I have had major struggles to get much needed health care lately, so this really burns my beans. I guess if republicans didn't have those great federal benefits (that we should all have btw) and had to choose between meds and food, they might not spew forth such idiocy!!

Of course, Tancredo is happy. Wouldn't want SOCIALISM invading our shores, would we? That Barack ObaMarx is trying to turning us all red with that commie healthcare plan.

SIGH.

Crazy talk. But unfortunately, people close to me are getting fooled by it. If anyone has a suggestion about how to wake up those mesmerized by this socialism label, I am all ears. And those ears are red. With anger!!!

Tancredo is a piece of work...the fact that this is a public official, hoping for all his might that Americans will not get good healthcare (like his...), on national television...Shameful. Classic GOP quote, though. Ought to make it into a bumper sticker. If the DCCC wants to fundraise, there's the catchphrase:
No Healthcare for Americans?
"Thank goodness, thank goodness!"
-Tom Tancredo
Thanks, Jen, for getting this out there!

I just discovered your blog today, and I'm really enjoying it.

I'm stunned by the "Thank goodness" comment.

Welcome Angie!! Glad to have you.

I was hoping Huff Post or someone would have that clip going around... because you really have to see it to believe it.
