This was my 21 year old daughter's first time to vote in a presidential election, making this an even more exciting experience for our family.
I had to laugh, when prior to the election, my 77 year old dad, started asking questions about his granddaughter's political views. He was terrified that somehow he had missed the fact that she had grown up to be the polar opposite of everyone else in our family. Umm, no, that might end up being her younger sister...scary, but we have two more years to see what happens.
Jen, thanks for remembering me! I have been reading but have had to cool off after getting into that heated exchange. I forget sometimes that I can't change people's minds about things they are so passionate about.
I love reading your posts, and feel like you put into words my feelings most of the time.
As for the new President, I am so proud! I love seeing him explain the orders he signs, so we can all understand OUR laws. I hope there aren't as many secrets as there has been in the past. You can certainly tell he was a teacher. And I'm so glad he gets to keep his Blackberry!
There is an air of promise in America once again! Can't wait to blog this weekend - so much to say, but I'm with you...the emotions of the day were overwhelming. Hooray for all of us!

I've been waiting for you to post, but was surprised there was no comments.
What a great day for America.
Cancer mommy!! Where have you been? I've missed you.
I have so many things to say about it, but can't put them in words. The whole thing was so beautiful!
