That is money that could be used to do research on renewable energy or medical research. Crazy.

And given the state of marriage - in my state the divorce rate is 50% - I think that the best way to protect marriage is to ensure that people who marry can stay married! Why prohibit two folks who love and are committed to each from having the benefits of marriage. I truly don't get it.Lynngreenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02916171088122535559noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2415568920808466536.post-63035292614347031462008-11-06T14:03:00.000-05:002008-11-06T14:03:00.000-05:00Cancer mommy - Glad to meet you. Why are people bothered by homosexuals. It completely doesn't affect their lives one bit.
Yeah, I think I even posted in my first post that I am going to say how I feel and if you don't like it, don't read it. I'm not going to feel bad about being happy. Us "liberals", I think, are worried about offending others... but the other side is quick to bash what is said. It's sad.Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15320401319412154475noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2415568920808466536.post-33601682128590663742008-11-06T11:50:00.000-05:002008-11-06T11:50:00.000-05:00Oh, and I wanted to add....Looks like it was a bus...Oh, and I wanted to add....

Looks like it was a busy day yesterday!! Lately, I've been noticing a lot of nasty comments being left on some of the liberal blogs I read. I don't get it. Why even bother? Herein, lies my question, why is it that the conservatives feel it necessary to 'stalk' these blogs and leave these nasty comments? I don't see the liberals stalking the conservative blogs and leaving little nasty comments. I enjoy a good debate now and then, but I never make it personal. Why do they think it's necessary to fight dirty? Do they think they are going to change people's minds? I don't get it.monkey girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04234810881929268484noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2415568920808466536.post-26691365864458520962008-11-06T11:33:00.000-05:002008-11-06T11:33:00.000-05:00As a former Californian, it saddens me greatly tha...As a former Californian, it saddens me greatly that Prop 8 passed. I sincerely don't understand that in 2008 people are still discriminating against gays. I expected more from California. As for Arkansas, I'm not surprised. As someone who was adopted at what was considered a late age (back in the 70's) nothing is sadder than a child waiting for someone to love them, waiting for a home. I'm so tired of hearing about people's religious affiliations...thanks to Bush the separation of church and state is blurry. I hope Obama reverses that asap.monkey girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04234810881929268484noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2415568920808466536.post-56146878076681785072008-11-06T11:18:00.000-05:002008-11-06T11:18:00.000-05:00I agree with you 100% on this. I'm fine with believing that in your faith/religion, but changing the law is overreaching I think.Cancer Mommyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11387191334880541762noreply@blogger.com
